Marcus has led HY Architects for over 22 years guiding the strategic direction of the business. He has helped innumerable clients fulfill their own strategic goals through planning and design. He currently advises on the corporate operations of the firm.

As a principal at HY Architects, Karla directs all company operations including finance, human resources, IT, and project management.

Lee leads the education practice and Oakland office for HY Architects. He focuses on designing inspiring learning environments for students and exceeding clients’ expectations through creative solutions.

William is a hands-on, working principal leading healthcare projects for the firm. He follows projects from programming through construction administration.

Howard has dedicated his career to both education and healthcare design. He focuses on building strong client relationships and delivering the highest quality project solutions to clients.

Educational planning and design is Craig’s passion. From new construction to modernizations and upgrades, Craig’s projects encompass every aspect of an educational campus.

Jorge has dedicated the majority of his career to educational planning and design. He focuses on building strong client relationships and providing excellent project management services to clients.

Kile has expertise in architectural design and project management for many project types – from urban in-fill to healthcare and rural estates. She takes pride in making the design process a seamless and smooth experience for clients.

Primarily focused on healthcare design, Jack brings extensive expertise to creating healing environments. Through a process of understanding and respecting client needs, Jack excels at creating spaces that bring comfort and solace to patients and staff.

From renovations to new facilities, Shelly is experienced in managing projects, designing, material selection, furniture and equipment planning, signage, and coordination of artwork. She works closely with her colleagues to provide guidance in their professional growth and to deliver quality projects.

Phan’s collaborative spirit to integrate interiors with architecture has created a better human experience within the built environment. She fosters collaboration to work through challenges as a collective team.

With a keen eye on sustainability in architectural design, Jenan brings a holistic approach to both her design projects and to all stakeholders involved. Being an active listener during design charettes and feasibility studies provides her with the balanced perspective needed to meet concerns and goals and foster the creative problem-solving process.
