HY Architects has a long-standing relationship with the Hayward Unified School District and recently completed the modernization and expansion of the Lorin Eden Elementary School campus. The project supports the district’s goals of enhancing safety, accessibility, and 21st century learning environments.
The scope included a new TK/Kindergarten complex with eight classrooms and an adjacent play yard, as well as a new administration building and secure campus entry. Additional improvements included expanded parking and drop-off areas, modernization of existing classrooms, and the conversion of former administrative spaces into a Guided Learning Center, library, and student services hub.
The project also included HVAC replacement and infrastructure upgrades to improve energy efficiency and long-term performance across the campus.
