The Elizabeth Mary Wolf Environmental Learning Center is a dynamic new development in the UC Davis Arboretum’s west end. Designed by HY Architects, this innovative facility is set to become a hub for people and programs alike. At the heart of the building is a spacious multi-purpose room, which has been designed to flow seamlessly into the adjacent Teaching Nursery courtyard. This indoor-outdoor space will serve a variety of functions, from public program space to a classroom for visitor and volunteer events. It will also provide a staging area for student environmental leaders in the Arboretum and Public Garden’s Learning by Leading™ program.
In addition to its many programmatic functions, the Elizabeth Mary Wolf Environmental Learning Center will also include offices for nursery staff, a kitchenette, and much-needed bathroom facilities. Overall, the project includes a 1,600 SF new modular building, multipurpose room, break room and restrooms, large office, and surrounding site work.
