HY Architects is seeking a Job Captain to join our Davis office. This position is a key production role responsible for supporting projects through all phases of architectural design and construction while coordinating closely with project teams, consultants, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural production and maintain Revit models through all project phases.
- Prepare design development and construction documents.
- Conduct site surveys, field measurements, and construction site visits.
- Coordinate architectural documents with consultants.
- Support construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, change documents, and punch walks.
- Assist with project schedules, fee proposals, and labor budget tracking.
- Delegate tasks and provide guidance to junior staff.
- Maintain HY production and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Typically 5–8 years of relevant architectural experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of architectural detailing, building materials, California building codes, and ADA requirements preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience coordinating with consultants and conducting site surveys.
- Construction administration experience preferred.
